1st Point of Pride: Hispanic Heritage Celebration
Description of the initiative or special recognition:
To promote and celebrate the diverse Hispanic student body with a cultural celebration.
2nd Point of Pride: I Am King Mentoring, Inc.
Description of the initiative or special recognition:
I Am King Mentoring is an Atlanta-based mentoring organization. They have partnered with Oliver Elementary for the 2023-24 school year and mentor boys from grades K-5 in the areas of confidence-building, conflict resolution to name a few.
3rd Point of Pride: PBIS Program
Description of the initiative or special recognition:
PBIS is intended to promote positive social/emotional behavior. There were several events that celebrated and promoted positive behavior from our student body.
4th Point of Pride: Literacy Our Way (Vocabulary Parade & Read Across America Week)
Description of the initiative or special recognition:
This school year, we offered several fun and engaging events promoting the importance of literacy skills. Vocabulary Parade and Read Across America Week.
5th Point of Pride: Career Day
Description of the initiative or special recognition:
Our Career Day was intended to expose our students to the myriad of career options available to them as adults.
